According to the Mississippi Legislature’s Bill Status site, HB 571, which we discussed here previously, died in committee on March 22, 2016. The measure would have allowed enhanced-permit handgun-carriers to bear arms anywhere in a courthouse except the courtrooms, judges’ chambers, and judicial staff offices.
