It’s nice to hear that. Greenwood is entering another state of flux, but we haven’t given up hope that our community will come shining through, again. I am not a native, but I am glad to call it my home.

  • Ignatius says:

What brings you to our parts, Judge? Hope you stayed and enjoyed Greenwood for awhile.

    • Larry says:

The day I took that photo, Lisa and I were showing some friends fom Illinois around the Delta. Greenwood is always a place we like to go.

  • Larry says:

That would be correct. The graveyard is immediately to the left (south) of the church. Of the four or so purported grave sites, this is the only one that had an eyewitness to the burial vouch for it. There is a Mississippi Blues Trail marker where the church driveway enters the highway.

Sorry to be so long in approving your comment, but I have been out of pocket all day.

  • Witness says:

Having looked at a map, it’s only two miles north, on Money Rd.

  • Witness says:

About 4 miles north of Greenwood. Robert Johnson is buried here (or at least some people think so).
