Where in Mississippi is this? Why is it there?

The comments are correct. The sign is in Pontotoc, and it’s there due to the presence of an Amish community. You North Mississippians have probably known about it for quite a while, but it’s a novelty to the rest of us, I’m sure. I first encountered an Amish buggy a couple of years ago driving through on my way to Oxford. Until then, I had no idea there were Amish in Mississippi at all.
Amish at Randolph in Pontotoc County. It’s always interesting to see their buggys tied up at the hitching posts at WalMart in Pontotoc
If the price of gas goes up much more, there will be more of these signs!
Pontotoc. Amish.
