HR VOTE TODAY OR TOMORROW

Judiciary A Committee of the House of Representatives will take up the judicial pay raise bill today, and it is expected that the bill will be voted out. The full house will get the bill either today or tomorrow. A 3/5 vote is required, since it increases fees.

While I concur that our judiciary is undercompensated, I wonder why Justice Waller, or any other judge, isn’t raising sand that the public defender bill which has been passed has never been funded. The majority of public defenders make far less than their Asst. DA counterparts, without benefits. guess it all depends on whose ox is being gored!
